At the Whitehall-Coplay School Board meeting in November 2020, Whitehall-Coplay School District Superintendent Dr. Lorie Hackett announced she would be retiring in June 2021, after 32 years in the education field.
According to an email sent to parents Jan. 4, finding a superintendent who is the right fit for the district is “accomplished through defining the qualifications and experiences that are desired in the next superintendent of schools as well as the challenges, issues and needs of the district.”
The WCSD Board of Directors attached a survey to the email, asking parents for input in determining what is most important to them in a superintendent. The board encourages Whitehall-Coplay community members to fill out the five-question online survey as well. The link to the survey is https://psba2.iad1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7ZH2NF7K0Jjpn3n and is also available on the WCSD website, whitehallcoplay.org.
The survey takes about five minutes to complete and must be done by Jan. 18.
