ESU

Graduates announced

Local students received degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania May 9, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional ceremonies could not take place, but all degrees were conferred upon completion of coursework.

Mansfield University

Smith named to president’s list

Trent Smith, of Northampton, has been named to the fall 2020 president’s list at Mansfield University. To be named to this list, a student must attend the university full time and attain at least a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester.

University of Kansas

Linsenman graduates

Spring and summer 2020 graduates have been announced by the registrar of the University of Kansas. Cavan D. Linsenman, of Whitehall, was one of more than 5,6000 graduates of the university. Linsenman earned a Master of Accounting. Many spring and summer 2020 graduates celebrated their accomplishments as part of the virtual 2020 commencement. The university plans to hold an in-person commencement event in May 2021 for the Class of 2020.

Markun, Zulu inducted into honor society

Fourteen psychology students from ESU - two of which are from Whitehall, Felicia Markun and Famela Zulu - were recently accepted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology. Psi Chi holds the distinction of being the largest student psychological organization in the world, having more than 700,000 members.

Packard earns dean’s list

Savannah Packard, of Northampton, has been named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Mansfield University. To be named to this list, a student must be attending the university full time and attain at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester.
