The New Year is upon us and we are all hopeful that 2021 will be the light at the end of the tunnel. Whether you are the resolution making type or not, let’s all remember to just be a little more kind and have more patience than normal. We all want our normal back, whatever that may look like.
A special school board meeting will be held via Zoom 7 p.m. Jan. 6. Please make sure to register via the website at www.salisburysd.org. It is expected at this meeting the topic of the return to school will be discussed. The normally scheduled operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 13 and will be followed by the regular school board meeting.
I know I can’t be the only one who was grateful for those massive meals the school provided just before the break. I think many will extend a huge thank you to our cafeteria staff for putting those together for our kids. The canned items from Giant were a big hit and we didn’t have to worry about things going bad before we got to them.
Salisbury Township School District continues to provide free breakfast and lunches for any student under 18 in the township. Pick up is typically 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays at Salisbury Elementary School and Salisbury Middle School. Should pick up dates change, communication is sent via email or text from your respective school. Thank you to our district for continuing this program.
I know the kids are just returning from the winter break, but looking forward, there is an upcoming professional development day Jan. 18 that might just give them another day off soon!
