Sally Ann and Donald J. Albright

Sally Ann Albright, 84 and her husband Donald J. Albright, 86, of Emmaus, died hours apart in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, after a courageous battle with COVID-19. She died Dec. 30, 2020. He died nine hours later Dec. 31, 2020. They would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in January. Sally Ann was born in Allentown, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Frances E. (Reimert) Wert. Donald was born in Allentown, a son of the late Edwin J. and Bertha Mae (Wenner) Albright.

He was the owner and operator of Albright’s Service Station, Allentown, since 1955, where he was assisted in day-to-day operations by his wife.

They were members of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Allentown. She was a member of the Ladies Prayer Group and the Nursing Home Ministries at the church.

Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1958 to 1960.

They are survived by their children, Scott D., of Allentown, Keith J. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Allentown, Linda and her husband, Jay Strohl, of Allentown; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Sally Ann is survived by a brother Frederick C. and his wife, Constance Wert, of Allentown. Donald was predeceased by siblings, Raymond, Edwin, Beatrice Weaver and Anna Altrichter.

Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

A memorial service to celebrate their lives will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
