Patrick J. Ferguson

Patrick J. Ferguson, 82, of Macungie, died Dec. 27, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the loving husband of the late Marian Ann (Maroni) Ferguson. Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Lynott) Ferguson and stepson of the late Kathleen Ferguson.

He worked for 34 years at Redner’s Markets, retiring as a vice president.

He attended Dunmore High School and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

He was a life member of the Hogan’s Social Club, Allentown, a past president of the Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a member of the Lower Macungie Lions Club.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

There was nothing more important to him than his extended family. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife especially to the Emerald Isles. His love of singing and his rich voice were well known. He spent many years involved with local theatre groups.

He is survived by children: Deborah Klotz and her companion, Wayne Remaley, Kathleen; Phillip and his wife, Kim, Sean and his wife, Wendy; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; a sister, Ann Marie “Nancy” Roscoe and a sister-in-law, Pauline; numerous nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Martin; a brother, Bernard and a brother-in-law, Walter Roscoe.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Joe’s Kids, 6804 Anthony Road, Bethlehem, 18017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
