Nancy Ruth Schuster, 86, of Vera Cruz, died Dec. 24, 2020, at home. She was the wife of the late Stephen Schuster Jr. Born in East Texas, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Ruth (Ames) Butz.
She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. Before retiring in the 1990s, she worked for Dorney Printing and later for Day-Timer® as a shipping department supervisor.
She was a member of Vera Cruz Senior Citizens and prior was a Girl Scout leader.
While in retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and traveling by RV throughout all 50 states. For many years, they were snow birds.
She will be remembered for her love of vacationing at the beach and baseball, but mostly for spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia A. Reade, of Bethlehem, Cheryl A. and her husband, Jeffrey Oels, of Vera Cruz; a brother, Adam Jr.; a sister, Pauline Strunk; grandchildren, Megan Albus, Jonathan Scott “Scotty” Reade, Mallory Oels; great-grandchildren, Kiya and Zoe Albus. She was predeceased by brothers, Gerald Cleary, George and Robert Butz.
