Gisella Messinger, 94, of Macungie, formerly of Schnecksville, died Dec. 28, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Clifford L. Messinger. Born in Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa (Sadini) Vottola.

She and her late husband owned the former Slatington Bicycle Center for 49 years, retiring in 1996. She was also employed as an embroiderer at the former Paris Neckwear in Slatington for 10 years.

She was a wonderful seamstress and truly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Slatington.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane L. and her husband, John T. Hough Sr., of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Jessica L. and her husband, Ron Strohl, of Blandon, John T. Hough Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of New Tripoli; great-grandchildren, Gianna N. Strohl and Lucca John Hough.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements were made by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville.
