George R. Green, 92, of Slatington, died Dec. 28, 2020, in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth.

The beloved husband of Martha L. (Gogel) Green, they were married 72 years.

Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Roy A. and Grace E. (Hartley) Green.

A carpenter for more than 40 years for Carpenters Lehigh Valley Local 600, he retired in 1990.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Slatington.

He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting, and was a past president of Blue Mountain Fish and Game.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Richard A. Green and wife, Dianne, of Catasauqua; Kevin A. Green and wife, Mary Lee, of New Castle; and daughter-in-law, Cindy, of Carlisle; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Green of Walnutport.

He was predeceased by son Keith A. Green, grandson Kyle J. Green and sister Ruth Gogel.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.
