Fern C. “Petey” Diehl, 89, of Schnecksville, formerly of Allentown, died Jan. 3, 2021, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born Oct. 20, 1931, in South Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Irwin F. and Elsie M. (Masonheimer) Diehl.

An assembler at the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 26 years, she retired in 1988.

Her survivors include siblings Dale D. Diehl and Doris J. Moyer, both of Allentown; niece Debra J., wife of Woodrow Haas Jr., of Schnecksville; great-nieces Brielle and Kyleigh; great-nephew Brayson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Lorraine R. Berta, Shirley F. Diehl, Jean L. Boyer and Mae E. Fehnel.

A private funeral service will be held Jan. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Christopher M. Cocca officiating.

A private visitation period will precede the service. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Union Cemetery, Mickleys. Whitehall.
