With a new year comes a new audit. This year, despite all the chaos, proves no different.

Allen Township Board of Supervisors met Dec. 8, 2020, virtually to authorize the advertisement of the 2021 audit. The 2021 audit is performed by a certified public accountant and, before it can be approved, must be advertised to the public.

Generally, the board approves the letter of engagement at the annual reorganization meeting, according to township Manager Ilene Eckhart. That allows enough time for the notice to be made public, she said.

The board approved the authorization to advertise the audit, which should be available online soon.
