DUI

A 52-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic accident in the area of the intersection of Chestnut Street and Batman Drive, Upper Milford Township, 3:27 p.m. Nov. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Maria Christina Lugo, 42, of Allentown, allegedly was driving under the influence at the intersection of East Texas Road and Maplewood Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 3:16 a.m. Oct. 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Drug possession

An 18-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly was in possession of a small amount of marijuana in the 5600 block of East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:55 p.m. Nov. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Accidents

A 35-year-old driver escaped injury when his vehicle spun into a ditch along Spinnerstown Road, Lower Milford Township, 7:16 a.m. Dec. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver lost control of the vehicle on ice near the Spinnerstown Road intersection with School House Lane. The vehicle was towed from the accident scene.

A truck driver and his passenger were unhurt when their vehicle struck a Christmas tree that had fallen from a vehicle along Interstate 78 East, Lower Macungie Township, around noon Nov. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The tree came loose from a vehicle trailer and fell into the right lane of the roadway. The 2021 Freightliner was eastbound when it struck the tree, damaging the front bumper of the vehicle.
