Gisella Messinger, 94, of Macungie, formerly of Schnecksville, died Dec. 28, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Clifford L. Messinger.

Born May 7, 1926, in Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa (Sadini) Vottola.

She and her late husband owned the former Slatington Bicycle Center for 49 years before retiring in 1996.

Also an embroiderer at the former Paris Neckwear, Slatington, for 10 years, she was a wonderful seamstress.

She truly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Slatington.

Her survivors include a daughter Diane L. Hough and her husband, John T. Hough Sr., of New Tripoli; grandchildren Jessica L. Strohl and her husband, Ron, of Blandon, John T. Hough Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of New Tripoli; and great-grandchildren Gianna N. Strohl and Lucca John Hough.

A private funeral service will be held at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, with the Rev. Henry A. Distler officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.

Interment will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
