Douglas “Duke” Daniels, 84, of Kempton, died Dec. 20, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Ellen M. (Perry) Daniels, were married 35 years in July.
Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Marvin L. and Alice (Dorsey) Daniels.
He honorably served in the U.S. Navy, then was a police sergeant for 30 years in Piscataway Township, N.J., where he received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during the Plainfield Riots.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and wonderful in-laws.
