James Wells Calmar Sr., 79, of Bethlehem, died December 20, 2020, in the care of ManorCare, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Barbara (Gross) Calmar for 56 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Palinkas) Calmar.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel for many years.

He was a member of the Steel City Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James W. Jr.; a daughter, Shelley Griesinger; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Calmar Jr.

Services are private.
