The Press caught up with Santa Claus at Quakertown Farmers Market, 201 Station Road, Dec. 13 while he was visiting with children and their families. He was able to take a few minutes to answer our questions about his upcoming trip and more.

Q. What does the naughty and nice list look like this year?

A. It looks about the same. Children are so accepting. They are not complaining about wearing masks.

Q. Will you still be able to get to everyone’s house due to COVID-19?

A. Oh, yes! Santa is the master of the space-time continuum.

Q. Will you be wearing a mask when you go to the children’s houses?

A. Oh, yes! The mask has my face on it, so many people don’t know I’m wearing a mask.

Q. What is the most requested gift this year?

A. A Barbie DreamHouse. Nerf guns and all-terrain vehicles are also popular.

Q. How are Mrs. Claus and the elves?

A. They are very busy. They have to take care of everything while Santa is taking pictures with the children.

Q. When are the elves finished making gifts?

A. They are finished Dec. 23. All the presents must be in Santa’s sleigh Dec. 24.

Q. What is your favorite cookie?

A. Chocolate chip.

Q. What do you do on Dec. 26?

A. Nap.

Q. Does Mrs. Claus pack any goodies on the sleigh for your trip?

A. Yes! Candy canes, chocolate-covered pretzels and milk.

Q. Are you sad you can’t greet the children as you normally would?

A. Yes, I’m sad all the children can’t be with me as I have to be behind a glass for safety reasons.

Q. How do you get into a house without a chimney?

A. Santa has a magic key.

Q. What do the reindeer eat?

A. Carrots and candy canes. That’s what makes them fly.

Q. What would you like to tell the children this year?

A. Be patient and kind. Listen to your parents.
