Merrill F. “Fred” Ohm Jr. 64, of Coplay, died Dec. 16, 2020, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He and his wife, Barbara J. (Haas) Ohm, were married 44 years last March 27.
Born March 22, 1956, in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Merrill F. Ohm Sr. and Nancy J. (Muschlitz) Ohm.
He was a 1975 graduate of Parkland High School.
Known to be a “Jack of all trades,” he was employed by the Painters Union Local 1269 for 33 years before retiring.
He also owned Action Contracting for eight years.
In addition to loving wife, he is survived by a son Merrill F. III and his companion, Rose Vanelli of North Whitehall Township; daughter Jennifer J. Schantz and her husband, Aaron, of Catasauqua; sisters Faye Nau and her husband, Rick, of Orefield, Karen Ohm of Allentown, and Debbie Smith of Northampton.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Newton.
A private service will be held at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. There will be no public calling hours.
Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
