Harvey C. Stump, 86, formerly of Shoemakersville, died Dec. 16, 2020, in Maidencreek Place, Reading.

He was the husband of the late Olive M. (Leiby) Stump, who died in 2006.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Stump and Loretta W. (Bailey) Heintzelman.

A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from 1952-55.

He was a 1952 graduate of Kutztown High School and later worked as a truck driver for various companies.

He was a member of Friedens Church, Lenhartsville, and the Hamburg Fire Company.

His survivors include his daughters Eileen D. (Charles) Leiby of Hamburg, and Janet M. Dissinger of West Reading; son Donald G. (Ann) Stump of Ashland, Ohio; daughter-in-law Cindy Stump of Fleetwood; grandchildren Allen Leiby, and Ashley, Rachel, Emily, Andrew, and Jacob Stump; brother Kenneth F. (Barbara) Stump of Wisconsin; and special friend Debbie Zweizig.

He was predeceased by a son, David H. Stump in 2019.

There will be a private graveside funeral service on Friedens UCC Cemetery, Lenhartsville. Pastor Dennis Cooper will officiate.
