This year has finally come to an end, and with it, so has the 2020 Allen Township Board of Supervisors meetings. The board met Dec. 8 to discuss the authorization to advertise next year’s meetings.

The 2021 board of supervisors meetings will be held the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The 2021 planning commission meetings will be held the third Monday of each month. This includes the annual reorganization meetings both the board of supervisors and the planning commission must complete.

All municipalities must be organized by the first Monday after the first day of the new year. The board will meet 7 p.m. Jan. 4, 2021. In keeping with the tradition of late, the virtual meeting will be held on Zoom.

There was some debate on whether the meeting should be held in person, but ultimately, the board decided on a virtual meeting out of an abundance of caution. This would also eliminate the worry of potentially needing to cancel due to inclement weather.

The planning commission’s reorganization meeting will be held Jan. 18, 2021.
