Harry D. Hanville

Harry D. Hanville, 79, of Emmaus, died Dec. 12, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was a loving and devoted husband to Jean (Williams) Hanville for 38 years. Born in Wyandotte, Mich., he was a son of the late Harold D. and Helen D. (Bardoni) Hanville.

After graduating from high school and pursuing a higher education, he relocated several times for work until settling in Pennsylvania with his wife.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Coopersburg, where he was a former church council president and liked to help with maintenance of the church and grounds.

For many years he worked as a quality assurance manager and sales manager for Firestone Steel Products/Accuride Corporation, but he didn’t hold his talents only to employment. He could best be described as a “Jack of All Trades” who enjoyed woodworking and odd jobs as a handyman, especially when he could help his church and family. From plumbing to electricity projects, the only thing he never mastered was bricklaying. In his spare time, his favorite thing was spending time with his family, who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife; children, Gregory (Charlene), of Evansville, Ind.; Kimberly Duncan (Terry), of Henderson, Ky.; Jeffrey D. (Lisa), of Robards, Ky.; Scott (Jo Elaine), of Henderson; Jennifer Clary (Scott), of Robards; Erin Haas (Matthew), of Allentown and Jeffrey S., of Wilkes-Barre; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (and one on the way). He was predeceased by a brother, Harold D.

Memorials in his name may be sent to St. John’s U.C.C., 538 E. Thomas St., Coopersburg, 18036.

Services will be held in the future with a date and time to be announced. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Allentown.
