Say goodbye to snow days!
Salisbury Township School District has implemented Flexible Instructional Days, also known as an FID.
If there is inclement weather, school will go on as usual. Right now, that seems simple enough since everyone is home anyway, but they can call these even if students are attending school back in the building. Parents will be notified through Apptegy and it will count as an official school day.
STSD is able to use up to five during the 2020-2021 school year.
Salisbury Elementary School is holding Spirit Zooms Dec. 14-23.
The schedule is as follows:
Dec. 14 - Bring your favorite stuffed animal,
Dec. 15 - Wrap in a cozy blanket
Dec. 16 - Wear your jammies
Dec. 17 - Drink hot chocolate
Dec. 18 - Wear a festive sweater
Dec. 21 - Grinch Day, wear something green,
Dec. 22 - Wear your favorite winter/festive hat
Dec. 23 - Share your favorite winter book.
I can’t wait!
I hope everyone is working hard decorating their door for the door decorating contest sponsored by the PTO. Email a picture of your door to SESPTO@salisburysd.org by midnight Dec. 18. Please remember to list your student’s name, grade and teacher. Voting is Dec. 20-22 and winners will be announced Dec. 23.
Dec. 23 is an early dismissal day for Salisbury Township schools. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School are ending classes 12:15 p.m. Salisbury Elementary School is ending classes 1:15 p.m.
Salisbury Township drop-off centers are no longer open this year. They will reopen in the spring of 2021.
