Jessie Mae Jenkins, 98, of Orefield, died on Dec. 14, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of the late Dr. Alfred L. Jenkins.
Born Nov. 30, 1922, in Cocoa, Brevard County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Morrow) Thompson.
She attended Jacksonville Memorial Hospital Nursing School where she became a registered nurse and trained in military hospitals.
She predominantly worked for her husband’s dental practice in Allentown for many years before retiring.
Before that, she was a registered nurse in several hospitals in the greater Philadelphia region.
Her survivors include sons Alfred T. Jenkins and his wife, Paula, of St. Cloud, Fla., Jeffrey A. Jenkins of Orefield and his longtime companion, Holly Heck, of Macungie; and granddaughter Kelli Mae Jenkins of St. Cloud.
Her service will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
