Rose T. Miller co-founded Governor Wolf Historical Society

Rose T. Miller, 95, of East Allen Twp., died Dec. 3, 2020, in her home. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Rosa (Sigura) Taschler. She was the wife of the late David C. Miller for 77 years.

She and her late husband were founding members of the Governor Wolf Historical Society. Earlier in life, she was a Girl Scout leader for Troop 599, Bath. She worked for many years at Regis Paper Corporation and later Kramer Textiles, both in Nazareth. During World War II, she maintained the tool shop at Bethlehem Steel.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Gates and her husband Barry of Nazareth, along with their children Alexander and Tyler; a son, Ronald Miller with wife Barbara of Allentown; two grandchildren, Todd Miller with his wife Nora and their children Ryan and Emily and Jason Miller with his wife Adriane and their children Juliana and Michael; a sister, Helen Gower; a brother, Michael Taschler; and two sisters-in-law, Ann and Kathleen Taschler.

She was predeceased by a son, Gary; two brothers Robert Taschler (who died the same day as Rose) and Frank Taschler; three sisters, Elizabeth Faustner with her husband William, Anna Tomasits with her husband Frank and Mary Milkovits with her husband Karl; a sister-in-law, Lucille Taschler; and a brother-in-law, Elvin “Clem” Gower.
