Catasauqua and North Catasauqua residents proved the COVID-19 pandemic was not going to stop them from having fun - in a safe and responsible manner.
Instead of a Halloween parade, organizers set up the 2020 Catasauqua/North Catasauqua Halloween (Un)Parade.
Residents and businesses set up Halloween displays and entered the contest. Photos were sent to organizers and posted on the event’s Facebook page.
People were encouraged to drive by the displays since some of them had moving parts such as lighting and effects.
Voting occurred on Facebook, with the winners receiving the most “likes.” Voting took place Oct. 21-30.
According to Melissa Brown, one of the organizers, there were 42 entries. She reported more than 3,600 people voted.
The winners for each “Best of” category and the number of votes they received follow. These results were as of midnight Oct. 30.
