LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Gregory M. Sado

Gregory M. Sado, 60, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 9, 2020, unexpectedly in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the loving husband of Dr. Maryann P. Hartzell-Sado. Born in Abington, he was the son of the late Edward G. and Jean R. (Dyniewski) Sado.

He was employed by Lehigh University as a senior engineering technician in the department of chemical and biomedical engineering.

He loved sharing his years of engineering experience with the next generation of engineers, leaving a legacy of knowledge and passion for the profession. His engineering career spanned over 30 years and provided him the opportunity to support operations in the United States and internationally in Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, China and the Philippines.

He loved to golf. As a member of Lehigh Country Club, he especially enjoyed the challenge of the back nine and the slope of the fourth hole. He enjoyed the Premier Soccer League and watching any professional soccer match in any language.

He loved building and flying radio-controlled sail planes and was a member of the Lancaster Soaring Club, the Eastern Soaring League and the Daniel Boone Silent Flying Club. A clear blue sky with just a little wind for golfing or flying was his idea of a perfect day. But most of all, he loved his family. Maryann and Lex were the loves of his life.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Alexis, of San Francisco; sisters, MaryAnn Frank, of Roslyn and Marguarite and her husband, Craig Miller, of Springfield; several nieces and a nephew.

Contributions may be made in his memory to The Bill Sugra Memorial Fund.

Arrangements were made by the Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
