Look for Santa in eastern Salisbury Dec. 19

As we make our way through the final month of the craziness that has been 2020, I ask everyone to take a minute and reflect on some of the positives that have come out of this year.
I know for me personally it has been crazy for sure; however, I have had more time to spend with our closest friends and family and really gotten to share some priceless memories with them that may not have happened otherwise. Yes we lost some opportunities, but they always say things happen for a reason right?
I am excited to see what 2021 brings and I hope we can return to some type of normalcy.
In early 2020, before COVID-19, Salisbury Township School District stakeholders were invited to share input for our district vision.
As we approach 2021, the district would like to refine the current vision and invite additional feedback.
As our learners have experienced the elements in our Profile of a Graduate, does the Profile of a Graduate continue to reflect what we collectively believe about learner knowledge, skills and dispositions?
This data will be used to refine the vision for 2025. Please refer to the email sent to provide your input.
Santa will make his rounds in the eastern part of the township Dec. 19.
The Eastern Salisbury Fire Department has posted a map of the projected route for this year on their Facebook page, complete with estimated times to see Santa. Please note the truck will not be stopping like in years past due to COVID-19 precautions and it will be more of a parade style. Please refer to that post for more details.
Looking forward to the holiday break, please note all township schools will have “early dismissals” Dec. 23. Salisbury High School and Salisbury Middle School will break for the day 12:15 p.m. and Salisbury Elementary School will break for the day 1 p.m.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for the holiday break Dec. 24 until Jan. 1, 2021. School will resume Jan. 4, 2021.
The Salisbury Township yard waste sites are in their final weeks for 2020. The Devonshire drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. the week of Dec. 7 and 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Dec. 12. This will be the last day the drop off centers are open for the 2020 calendar year.
