Let’s face it you probably don’t drive the way you did when you were a teenager and that’s because you are now experienced drivers and know the dangers of being reckless or careless when driving.
Did you know that alcohol, illegal drugs, over-the-counter medication, prescription medication and medical marijuana can affect your driving as well?
Make sure to read all the labels and follow the proper dosing directions to avoid the possibility of being arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Know your limitations. If you don’t like driving at night, then run your errands during the day. If you’re unsure about your driving, ask friends or family to drive you. Check into the alternatives to driving such as ride share companies and public transportation.
If you do drive, always wear your seat belt, give yourself plenty of travel time, and don’t drive distracted.
There are driver improvement courses available for you to take through AARP or AAA.
