Cub Scouts donate to local pantry

Cub Scout Pack 588, led by Cub Master Steve Solderich, collected 530.32 pounds of donated nonperishable food for the Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry during their annual Scouting for Food Drive in November.

The Scouts distributed flyers throughout the community two weeks before the pickup date of Nov. 14.

The food was then transported from Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, to the food pantry on Nov. 17 and 28.
