Brian Ray Dietz, 54, of Palmerton, formerly of East Stroudsburg and Ebensburg, died Dec. 7, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.
He was the husband of Amy Grace Snyder-Dietz.
Born July 9, 1966, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Shirley A. (Kaufman) Dietz.
He was a switching equipment technician for Network, Engineering, Operators of Verizon, Eastern Pennsylvania, for the last 25 years.
He was a member of CWA Union Local 13,000, Unit 33, Branch 7.
He was a volunteer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northeastern PA and the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church Cold Weather Homeless Shelter.
A former Boy Scout Troop Leader, and a member of the Masonic Fraternal Organization, he was a member of Unity of Lehigh Valley.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter Stephanie A. Eckenrode and her husband, Scott, of Loretto; son Colton R. Dietz of East Stroudsburg; sister Amelia M. Kough of Ebensburg; brother Jeffrey L. Dietz and his wife, Christy, of Bristow, Va.; grandsons Ethan and Bryce; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
There will be no public calling hours.
