Richard E. Wehrle, 90, of Fullerton, died Nov. 26, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Marjorie (Scheirer) Wehrle for 68 years.

Born in Fullerton, he was a son of the late Harry F. and Anna (Chorones) Wehrle.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.

He was a switchman with Bell of Pennsylvania and Verizon, until he retired after more than 40 years.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the men’s group.

He was a member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367 and of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Lalo and her husband Bob and Patti Wehrle with Brent Burke; a granddaughter, Shana Wasley and her husband Kevin and their children Bryn and Eve; nieces; nephews; and extended family.

He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Lance and her husband Robert.

Services will be private.
