Paul L. Heckman, 89, of Emmaus, died Dec. 3, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born in Orangeville and raised in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Ray Merle Heckman and Atta Rozetta (Follmer).

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was employed as a plant manager for General Electric.

He loved Penn State football and was an accomplished running back himself at Mahanoy City High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan and her husband, Steven Kanarek. He was predeceased by a brother, Ray Sr., of Albuquerque, N.M.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
