Are you and your family looking for a way to experience the beauty of the winter holiday season?

The Cottages at Belmont Glen, a small development off Route 329 at Reliance Street and Belmont Circle in Egypt, will participate in Luminaria Night Dec. 12.

The Timberidge development, just to the west of Belmont Glen off Quarry Street, will also participate. The neighborhoods will be bathed in the soft glow of candlelight from the luminaria lining the sidewalks.

Luminaria Night supports the efforts of New Bethany Ministries in assisting people who suffer from homelessness and hunger.

The rain date for the event is Dec. 19.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, will hold Christmas Eve services at the church 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

Seating will be limited due to the pandemic. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Call the church at 610-262-1600 to reserve seats if you plan to attend.

If you’d like to view the service from the comfort of your home, the Christmas Eve service will be streamed on the church’s website, sothlc-egypt.org, and its Facebook page 10 p.m.
