LCCC Foundation offered virtual dinner benefit

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and its Foundation partnered with Curious Goods at the Bake Oven Inn and Chef Mark Muszynski to host a Virtual Dinner Party, 6 - 8 p.m. Dec. 5.

Proceeds benefit LCCC’s COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund, which helps students who have been impacted by the pandemic pay for tuition, books, food, child care and rent.

Atty. Jerome Frank of KingSpry, is the honorary chair, celebrating 50 years as the college’s solicitor.

Emcee for the evening was Joe Sibilia, executive producer of the Joe Piscopo Show in New York City. Sibilia graduated from LCCC in 2016 and from Hofstra University in 2018.

Chef Mark and Catherine Muszynski, owners of the Curious Goods in Germansville since 2007, honor tradition with a farm-to-table menu and casual fine dining environment.

LCCC and the chef brought a virtual dinner party and cooking demonstration to homes. A meal was been chosen by Muszynski. Participants followed along, cooking at home.

The demonstration was prerecorded. Muszynski was available live near the end of the presentation to answer questions and provide professional tips and information.

The event highlights the LCCC’s culinary program and students, as they cook alongside the chef.

Four meals per household was limited to 100 households.

Registration included the meal kit, provided by Curious Goods; the dessert, prepared by LCCC Culinary students; and one bottle of dessert wine, compliments of BoosRock Winery, Breinigsville.

For an additional cost, Allium Floral of Bethlehem provided the elements for participants to make their own floral arrangement or upon request, provided an already completed centerpiece.

BoosRock had additional bottles of wine available for presale.
