According to information from State Police Troop M, a 54-year-old Washington Township man was charged after he allegedly stabbed a 32-year-old Slatington man at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 9000 block of North Loop Road, Washington Township.

According to state police, troopers from Troop M, Bethlehem, and Fogelsville responded to the North Loop Road address for a report of a stabbing.

The Slatington man, who had multiple stab wounds to his arm, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for his injuries.

Police allege following the stabbing, the suspect, identified as Larry Keiser, went back into his residence and refused to exit for police.

A perimeter was set up by the Special Emergency Response Team around the residence and Keiser eventually exited without incident, police say.

Keiser was transported to the Lehigh County Booking Center, Allentown, where he was charged with one count each of aggravated assault, a felony in the first degree; aggravated assault, felony in the second degree; and simple assault, a second degree misdemeanor.

According to Lehigh County criminal court records, Keiser was arraigned Nov. 29 before Magisterial District Judge Karen C. Devine, Allentown.

His monetary bail was set at $25,000.

He was unable to post bail and confined to Lehigh County Jail.

Keiser’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18 before Devine.
