Terrell T. Sorey, 28, of Easton, was driving a 2007 International Harvester model 94001 when it struck the center concrete median 1:36 p.m. Nov. 30 on I-78 west in the area of the Krumsville exit, Greenwich Township, Berks County.

According to State Police Troop L, Hamburg, the truck was westbound on I-78 when it lost traction with the wet roadway in the right lane and slid across the left lane, striking the center concrete median with its front.

Police say the force of impact pushed the concrete median into the front of a 2013 Volvo V40 driven, in the left, eastbound lane by Felipe Jaime, 51, of Allentown.

The car was then forced into the right lane, striking the left side of a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Narinderjeet Singh, 30, of Salem, Va.

The International Harvester continued westbound, crossing both westbound lanes and struck the guide rail on the north side of the roadway.

It then traveled over the guide rail, striking a traffic sign and utility pole, before traveling down an embankment and coming to a final rest off the north side of the roadway, facing north.

Police say the Volvo came to a final rest in the left eastbound lane, and the Freightliner came to a final rest in the right eastbound lane, both facing east.

According to police, the International Harvester had disabling damage to its entire vehicle.

The Volvo had disabling damage to its front and the Freightliner had disabling damage along its left side.

All three drivers were wearing their seat belts, police say, and no injuries were reported.

Sorey was charged with driving his vehicle at an unsafe speed, police say.
