Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has recently received the Guard-Friendly School designation from the Pennsylvania National Guard Associations.
LCCC is one of 13 schools nationwide that recently received the designation, joining a total of 43 out of 480 eligible for the designation.
LCCC provides resources and support services to more than 350 active military and veteran students, including their spouses and dependents, to meet their needs while attending college.
Resources include veterans’ lounges at the Schnecksville and Tamaqua campuses, preferred scheduling, scholarship opportunities and a Veterans Support Team to provide resources needed to transition to college.
The LCCC Veterans Club provides an opportunity to find support, a purpose and make connections with fellow veteran and military students.
The Veteran Advisory Board ensures LCCC remains relevant on veteran-related matters.
Students can join SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society that recognizes academic achievements.
