Press photos By Tami Quigley Though temperatures were relatively warm, in the 50s, Nov. 13, a jolly Christmas atmosphere framed historic downtown Bethlehem at Christmas Huts on Main, which transformed the area into an authentic German Weihnachtsmarkt, or open-air Christmas market. Presented by the Downtown Bethlehem Association, the huts are located on Main Street and are open Thursdays through Sundays through Dec. 27. Shoppers are welcome Thursdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Moravian stars are hung at the top of huts at this merry event in the Christmas City, where Christmas Cottages and additional festive activities are new this year in the Colonial Industrial Quarter. Shoppers peruse Christmas-themed wooden huts brimming with unique gift ideas and soak up the atmosphere Nov. 13 at Christmas Huts on Main, on a relatively warm evening in Historic Downtown Bethlehem, which was dressed up in its Christmas finery.
As night falls in the Christmas City, huts along Main Street are aglow with Moravian stars and lights entwined in Christmas garland.
