Kalmbach Memorial Park recently announced the appointment of its new trustee, Karen Holt, of Macungie.

Holt has lived in the borough of Macungie for 24 years.

She served as the first building coordinator for the Macungie Institute, starting in 2001 and retiring in 2017.

Holt has served on a variety of committees including Macungie Town Beautification, Macungie Holiday and the Macungie 150th Anniversary.

Holt was a trustee for the Macungie Institute and a member of the Macungie Memorial Park Board of Directors.

Holt is currently a member of the Macungie Historical Society, Friends of Macungie Institute, Macungie Garden Club, a Macungie Park volunteer and a member of Solomon’s United Church of Christ.

Holt will serve as a Kalmbach Park trustee along with Don Young and John Albright.
