Giving Tuesday is a global generosity and philanthropy movement that aims to unleash the power of individuals and organizations to affect their communities and change the world.
The one-day event encourages people to give back to the local community.
At Penn State, colleges, commonwealth campuses and student organizations work to tap into the catalytic power of giving, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the Penn State community and beyond.
Penn State Extension Master Gardeners are a vital part of the community of change, giving, and opportunity.
To continue to build and deliver outreach, the Master Gardener Program asks for financial help on #GivingTuesday, Dec. 1.
In the 2019-20 program year, 3,090 Master Gardeners from across the state provided 114,368 volunteer hours to communities through county programs, projects, and outreach.
Master Gardeners have positively impacted communities by donating seeds, plants, and produce to local food pantries and organizations in need during the pandemic.
The one-day event encourages people to give back.
