Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, we may need to adjust how to provide services safely in the near future. We realize this may affect community members who rely on or find it convenient to access services here, including computer usage, copying, faxing and borrowing materials.
We will keep you informed of any decisions as we carefully consider how to balance community needs and public health.
For now, all six public computers are available for use. Each is surrounded by a plexiglass shield for your safety.
Masks are required while you are in the building. If you forget your mask, we have colorful nonmedical washable masks for sale for $5 in both children’s and adults’ sizes.
***
We still have storytime grab-and-go activities available including idea jars, My Mask color and create booklets, my first library cards, Thanksgiving turkeys and Thanksgiving game and coloring packets.
***
Join Miss Janice for storytime on Facebook Live 11 a.m. each Thursday. She shares stories and crafts.
Don’t worry if you miss a session; video links, for both storytimes and grab-and-go activities, are available for you to access storytime whenever it is convenient on our Facebook page under Videos. There will also be a link for a special Thanksgiving storytime.

Watch for our holiday-themed videos on our social media in December. We will be doing staff book picks, decorating, favorite movies and songs and much more.

Anytime is a good time for a new recipe. Find one or share a favorite with others through our new recipe swap Comfort & Tradition on our Facebook page. Holiday cookies will be a featured category starting Dec. 1, but all types of recipes are welcome.

The theme for our next adult book club meeting - 6-6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 - will be feel-good books. Your choice can be holiday related or not, fiction or nonfiction.
Join the book club or get the link for our live meeting on Facebook.

Celebrate the holidays by donating new or washed, gently used mittens, scarves or hats to hang our holiday giving tree. Please bring your gift in a bag.
The items will be distributed through Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative.

All incoming materials are quarantined for seven days. Lehigh-Carbon Library Cooperative is requiring all member libraries to follow this procedure, based on new information about the coronavirus.
We ask you to please be patient if you are waiting for a hold.
***
We have a limited amount of space to quarantine donated items, so please don’t ask us to take materials that don’t meet our guidelines. You will find the guidelines on our website, or you can ask for our new brochure.
Pay special attention to the physical condition of the materials.
We can accept three bags or boxes of materials per household. Bring your donations when the library is open for the safety of all involved. Do not put any donations in the outside book drop. This space is needed for returns, which may include materials borrowed from other libraries.
