Northampton: Veterans Day program set

Northampton Joint Veterans Organization is conducting a Veterans Day service 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at the veterans plaza, 14th Street and Washington Avenue.

Those in attendance are requested to wear a face cover and practice social distancing.

Reminder: For those who ordered chili from Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., pickup will be 3-5 p.m. Nov. 14 in fellowship hall or following the 10:30 a.m. church service Nov. 15.

Monday bingo has returned to Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Doors open 5:15 p.m., and games will begin 6:30 p.m.

Masks are mandatory.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., is holding a nut roll sale, including apricot, lekvar, nut, poppy seed, red raspberry, pumpkin roll, coconut cream and apple. The church is also holding a cheesecake sale.

Orders can be picked up 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 11 or 12 at the church.

Northampton Area Food Bank, 1601 Canal St., is requesting donations of turkeys, canned cranberry sauce, corn, green beans, boxed stuffing and pumpkin pies.

Items can be dropped off 9:30 a.m.-noon Wednesdays. Call 610-262-8030 to make arrangements.
