Keeping in mind the coming holiday season, the theme for the next adult book club will be feel-good books. Your choice can be holiday related or not, fiction or nonfiction.

The meeting will be held 6-6:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

Join the book club group on Facebook to get the link for our live meeting.

***

Join Miss Janice for storytime streamed on Facebook Live 11 a.m. each Thursday. Video links will be available if you can’t make it, including a special Thanksgiving storytime.

We still have previous storytime grab-and-go activities available, including idea jars, My Mask color and create booklets, my first library cards, fall pumpkin patch mazes, fall coloring sheets, autumn tree packets and Halloween trace-and-color packets.

All related storytimes remain posted on our Facebook page under videos.

High school and middle school students, we have free books in the foyer and on shelves under the book return inside the library. Come in and browse through all of the different topics and themes.

The books are yours to keep, pass along to friends or family, donate to another organization of your choice or recycle.

We are following the safety guidelines of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the best of our abilities. Everyone over the age of 2 is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer while in the building.

If you forget your mask, we have colorful, nonmedical, washable and reusable masks for sale in both children and adult sizes.

All six public computers are now available for use. Each is surrounded by a plexiglass shield for your safety.

Curbside service is available for patrons who can’t wear masks or other at-risk community members. To borrow materials, place holds directly on your account using our online catalog.

For assistance or further information, call 610-262-7351, email coplaypubliclibrary@gmail.com or see our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org.

All incoming materials are quarantined for seven days.

The Lehigh-Carbon Library Cooperative is requiring all member libraries to follow this procedure, based on new information about the coronavirus on different library materials. Please be patient if you are waiting for any holds.

You don’t have to leave your house to borrow books or magazines. Just go to the library’s website and use your library card number and password to access Overdrive in the E-Resources tab or download the Libby app to your device.

More than 14,000 e-books and e-audios are available.

If you need assistance, call the library at 610-262-7351.

While we will not have a book sale this year, we always have a collection of books, CDs and DVDs for sale on the shelves at the circulation desk. The selection changes regularly.

We have a limited amount of space to quarantine donated items, so please don’t ask us to take materials that don’t meet our guidelines. You will find the guidelines on our webpage, or you can ask for our new brochure.

We can accept three bags or boxes of materials per household. Bring your donations when the library is open for the safety of all involved.

Do not put any donations in the outside book drop. This space is needed for returns, which may include materials borrowed from other libraries.
