UPPER MACUNGIE: St. John’s Lutheran Church hosting free community dinner

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Main St., Fogelsville, will host a free community dinner 5-7 p.m. Nov. 13 with curbside pickup only.

The meal includes turkey barbecue, mashed potatoes, corn and dessert.

Reservations are not required. All are welcome to attend.

Parkland Community Library, South Whitehall Township, will host a virtual Teen Dungeon and Dragons Night Zoom meeting 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 through the website R20 for students in seventh through 12th grade.

Adults, join library staff for its Dive into Databases video series 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10 on Facebook.

They will provide tips and simple instructions to unlocking database features.

A LEGO Masters Show and Tell for kids will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 on Zoom.

Every Monday staff will email participants a new LEGO challenge to be completed by the end of the week.

Participants will then have 2-3 minutes during the show and tell to share their creation and talk about their engineering process.

A Virtual Story Time with Miss Mary will be offered 10-10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 and 18 on Zoom.

Miss Mary will read a story and there will be singing.

This story time is perfect for all ages but is geared toward kids age 5 and younger.

The Teen Virtual Anime Club for kids in sixth through 12th grade will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 on Zoom to watch a selected anime episode through Crunchyroll or Funimation.

The Short Story Society for adults is scheduled to discuss the short story “The Three Strangers” by Thomas Hardy from 3-4 p.m. Nov. 12 on Zoom.

The Social Justice Family Book Club for kids age 6 to 11 will take place 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 on Zoom.
