Nancy L. Resh, 83, of Orefield, died Nov. 1, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband, Gerald H. Resh, were married 63 years on Oct. 6.

Born Dec. 7, 1936, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Wilma H. (Fehr) Arner.

A 1954 graduate of Parkland High School, she was a 1957 graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.

She was employed by Dr. Schragger, Advanced Dermatology for 22 years before retiring in 2000.

Active in the life of her church, she was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, where she taught Sunday School and served as Sunday School president for five years.

She formerly served as chairwoman of the Attic Treasures annual church bazaar.

Additionally, she was a member of The Red Hat Society.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son David G. Resh (Bridget) of Allentown; daughter Susan L. Stachowski (Larry) of Orefield; sister Linda S. Royer (Bill) of Emmaus; nephew Robert C. Werley of Whitehall; and grandchildren Monica S. and Jason L. Stachowski.

She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette A. Hunsicker.

A private service will be held in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. There will be no public calling hours.

Interment will follow the service at Jordan UCC Cemetery, South Whitehall.
