A special presidential election tookplace in West Bethlehem as 24 canine candidates were involved in a primary election that produced two finalists Oct. 26, at which time voting would run through election day, Nov. 3, to elect the next puppy president at The Puppy Palace Doggie Day Care. Representing diverse grass roots parties such as the “little smush-faced” party, the “I like big mutts” party, the “tiny Terrier” party and the” male Golden Retriever” party, four of the 24 candidates met with media to make their pitches for votes, which could be cast by visiting the 2020 Puppy Palace Election page on Facebook. Customer experience manager Zoe Lennon said that the fun puppy election is a wonderful diversion from real world politics.
