Route 100 closed in Upper Macungie Twp

PennDOT has closed Route 100 at Schantz Road, Upper Macungie Township, for road resurfacing.

The road closure will continue until July 1, 2021.

Westbound Schantz Road approaching Route 100 will be closed and detoured to facilitate construction work for the ongoing Route 100 Resurfacing Project.

Drivers wanting to access Route 100 from Schantz Road will be detoured onto Penn Drive.

Only the westbound approach to Route 100 from Schantz Road will be affected with this traffic switch.

There will be 24 hour restrictions, so use caution when traveling through the work zone.

This work will be done in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site, and relevant training.
