The issue I would address first when elected would be relief and assistance for small businesses that have been affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a small business owner, I have seen firsthand the hardships caused by the pandemic. Businesses need immediate action to help them pay rent and survive. Small businesses make up over half of our workforce and are the backbone of our community; it’s time we start treating them that way.
