ELECTION-PRESIDENT-Why should a reader vote for your candidate?

JOE BIDEN

By Matt Munsey

Northampton County Democratic chairman

Count on Joe - he believes in US

Joe Biden understands no matter where we come from or what our color, we work hard for our families.

Lately, the president and Republican politicians hurt everyone by handing kickbacks to corporations and their wealthy donors, defunding our schools, undermining community services, and stripping working people of our rights to negotiate in union.

Joe knows we need to go all in for all of us, joining together with people from all walks of life to make a better future for us all.

Joe will bet on us and the American spirit every time we face a challenge, just like we won better wages, safer workplaces, and civil rights in our past.

Together, we make the future, and with Joe we will rewrite the rules to make this a country where all of us can prosper.

“Joe’s Code” includes the simple values we teach our children from an early age, those we can restore to the White House and the State House, as voters over the past month and for only several more days:

Compassion. Faith. Resiliency. Empathy. Kindness. Humility. Joy. Respect. Inclusion. Dignity.

No Malarkey!

If we elect a leader like Joe Biden who will persevere to bring us together, there’s no problem we can’t solve, because he believes in American ingenuity and restoring the soul of our nation to make progress for all of us, together.

Choose hope. Bet on love over hate, on truth over lies. We’ve faced tough challenges before, but we’ve always overcome. Together.

DONALD TRUMP

By Gloria Lee Snover

Northampton County Republican chairwoman

When your financial statement comes in the mail, your eyes go directly to the account balance, not the broker’s picture. Americans should vote on the bottom line, not on personalities. Bottom line, Trump repatriated manufacturing jobs, cut oppressive regulations, and lowered taxes on working people. Every demographic group saw record low unemployment. A Gallup survey found 56 percent of Americans are better off today than four years ago. Trump’s supercharged pre-Covid economy led the Federal Reserve to find the pandemic recovery is much faster than expected. Changing horses would throw our economy into a depressive abyss because Biden pledges to seize the economic engine by repealing Trump’s tax cuts.

On the international front, the age of trillions wasted on foreign wars is over as Trump, the first President in four decades not to start a new military conflict, engineered a swift decisive victory over ISIS, repatriating troops, and brokering Nobel Prize worthy peace agreements in the Middle East. This, all while China, Iran, Russia and North Korea are kept in check. Meanwhile, the radical left-wing forced Biden to choose Harris, rated the most liberal senator, even though she called Biden a racist just months ago. Biden is not his own man and has Pelosi gunning for him under the 25th Amendment. Radical Democrats tolerate riots in their cities. The suburbs are next. If you love the America we grew up in, vote Trump. If you want Socialism, turmoil and decline, then Biden-Harris is your choice.
