Shirley S. McFarland, 84, of Coplay, died Oct. 9, 2020, in her home. She was the wife of the late Larry J. McFarland.

Born in Slatedale, she was a daughter of late Charles P. and Lillie V. (Metzger) Fenstermaker.

She was a bookkeeper at Horwith Trucks Inc., Northampton, for 35 years before she retired in 1996.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

She is survived by four children, Peggysue Vince with Joseph and Sherry A. Rivera with Louis, all of Coplay, Danny C. with Christine of Schnecksville and Timothy C. with Helena of Somerville, Mass.; a sister, Elinore J. Dorshimer of Slatedale; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four siblings, Sylvia D. Dieter, Charles L. Fenstermaker, Geraldine M. Horwith and Carl P. Fenstermaker.

Services will be private.
