Fatal accident

The Salisbury Township Police Department is investigating a motorcycle accident on Weil Street between Ritter Street and Kline Street 8:13 p.m. Oct. 1.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, according to Salisbury police. The motorcyclist later died.

In a media release the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center identified the motorcyclist as Justin W. Styer, 46, of Allentown. Styer was pronounced dead 9:26 p.m. at the hospital.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force trauma due to a motorcycle accident and the manner of death was determined to be an accident, according to the media release.

Scam

A resident of the 2800 block of Edgemont Court received a check for $2,000 for a $500 item. The resident realized it was scam and did not cash the check, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 21.

Warrants

A 24-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center Sept. 21, according to Salisbury police.

A 54-year-old male, of Palm Bay, Fla., was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center Sept. 21, according to Salisbury police.

Assists

Salisbury police assisted the Eastern Salisbury Fire Department at the scene of a structure fire in the 800 block of Weil Street Sept. 21.

Salisbury police assisted the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company in responding to a call at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Sept. 23.

Criminal mischief

A garage was damaged in the 1700 block of Virginia Avenue, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported Sept. 24.

Fireworks

Salisbury police responded to the 1800 block of East Susquehanna Street to check on a fireworks complaint Sept. 25. Nothing was found in the area, according to Salisbury police.
