Mary A. Sommer, 91, of Whitehall and a two-year resident at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown, died May 7, 2020. She was the wife of the late John J. Sommer for 65 years.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Rosa (Keppel) Sacks.
She was a seamstress in the garment industry until she retired and was a wedding vocalist.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Eroh and her husband Ed of Danielsville, Patricia Sommer of Colorado and Diane Lucarelli and her husband Bill of Colorado; and four grandchildren, Corinne, Christopher, Dante and Gianna.
She was predeceased by five sisters, Anna Schrameyer, Pauline Schrameyer, Hilda Weber, Margaret Groller and Cecelia Panny; and a brother, Alex Sacks.
There will be a calling time 9:15-10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., Oct. 17 at the church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall.
